Traps and Advantages - Week 11

This weekly article will be most helpful. Here I will point out some hidden traps or hidden advantages for teams. My picks will not be in this article just some warnings to be eerie of or some advantages to jump on.

Teams off bye weeks:
--Past data hasn't shown any significant betting advantage towards teams coming off a bye week. The reason I highlight it is because with certain teams it will come into play more than others.

1. Cleveland Browns - Jason Campbell has been playing great football. I always thought he was a little under-rated and when he was becoming a solid QB injury would strike. I still think the Redskins moved on too soon and he never really got another chance as a stable starting QB. The Browns have tons of weapons in the passing game for Mr. Campbell to take advantage of. On top of this they sport a very good defense the consists of top corner back Joe Haden. They have shot at winning their division. On the same note this is the Browns and that is a long shot if they can add some type of running offense to their repertoire. The bye week could be good for this team as it provided more time for the receivers to gel with Campbell.

2. Kansas City Chiefs - Andy Reid(10-4 record ATS after a bye week) is a good coach and an extra week to prepare for the Broncos is always nice. However I don't know how much it will matter. The break did give Dwayne Bowe a chance to recover from how ineffective he has been with some medical grade marijuana. All the bye week brought the Chiefs is a distractions. They have been extremely fortunate when it comes to injuries. You have to wonder when that luck is going to run out. That 10-4 record may make you think twice when looking at next weeks game.

3. New England Patriots - The Patriots were just getting healthy and playing their best football of the year prior to the bye week. This is as healthy as the team has been all year and Brady's receiving corp is once again very good. Aaron Dobson has finally developed nice chemistry with Brady. He still isn't catching an extremely high percentage of his targets but that number has been improving all year. Can Amendola stay healthy? If he can watch out for this team. Oh and Bill Belichick is 8-6 ATS coming off a bye week.

4. New York Jets - The Jets get to come off a bye week and play their foe the Buffalo Bills. Rex Ryan is 1-3 ATS after a bye week. Not sure how much the week off will help this squad. They are currently a playoff team and they are coming off a strong win vs. the Saints. This could have been some key time for the Jets to work on some things with Geno.

Teams on a long week: Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings

Teams on a short week: Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Key week 12 matchups(potential look past candidates for week 11):

Giants vs. Cowboys (Cowboys have week 11 bye)
Broncos vs. Patriots
Vikings vs. Packers
